Southside Lemon Cocktail
Intro & Description
The beauty of this recipe is the simplicity of the Southside. And the flavour that you get from using BWG lemon punch, added to the punch of fresh mint is amazing.
Gin-based, mint-kissed with the taste of citrus.
Recipe
 Serves: 2
Ingredients:
Half a dozen mint leaves
60ml London Dry Gin
250ml BWG Lemon Punch
Lime juice - a squeeze
1 Tablespoon Simple Syrup
Preparation:
Gently muddle the mint leaves at the bottom of the cocktail shaker with the squeeze of lime juice.
Add the rest of the ingredients with some ice and shake for 30 seconds.
Strain into 2 hiball tumblers.
Add some crushed ice and garnish with a mint leaf on top.
Recipe Notes
Try adding a squeeze of fresh orange or orange liqueur for a truly sensational citrus explosion!
A note about the mint: once you muddle it, the flavour can get INTENSE. Use more or less mint, skip the muddling of the mint, or use a mint simple syrup to impart some of the mint flavor for this drink
