Intro & Description

Agua fresca recipes make for a cool companion for any Mexican meal. Made with fresh clementines, carrot punch, fresh lime, and more, this fresca drink also makes for a lovely mocktail option for your next happy hour.

A refreshing recipe that will give you just the right boost of vitamins A and C.

 

Recipe

 Serves: 8

Ingredients:

  • 1L BWG Carrot Punch

  • 6 Clementines or tangerines, peeled, seeded, and chopped

  • 3 Cups cold water

  • 2 Tablespoons lime juice

  • 2 Tablespoons honey (Additional Honey optional)

  • Ice cubes

  • Clementine slices

Preparation:

  1. In a blender combine about one-third of the chopped clementines, and 1 cup of the water.

  2. Cover and blend until smooth.

  3. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher or large glass jar. 

  4. Discard solids. 

  5. Repeat twice. 

  6. Add Carrot Punch. 

  7. Stir lime juice and the 2 tablespoons honey into strained juice mixture.  

  8. Serve over ice.  

  9. Garnish with clementine slices.  

 

Recipe Notes

If desired, serve with additional honey. 

Switch the clementines for kumquats for a truly unique twist on this recipe.

Use less water if you would prefer a slightly thicker consistency.
