New York Lemon Sour

The secret to this whiskey sour variation is a bit of red wine. This traditional sour recipe includes a red wine float, which adds texture, acidity, and an intriguing hue.
This wine-spiked whiskey sour is one of the best drinks of the year.
Recipe
 Serves: 1
Ingredients:
25ml Bourbon
125ml BWG Lemon Punch
1 teaspoon Maple Syrup
50ml Red Wine
Preparation:
Add all the ingredients to a cocktail shaker except for the red wine.
Shake for around 15 seconds and strain into a whiskey tumbler over a couple of ice blocks.
Pour in the red wine slowly over the back of a spoon so it settles as a top layer.
Lemon twist for garnish.
Recipe Notes
You can use either rye or bourbon whiskey for this recipe, whichever you prefer.
Gently pour the red wine over the back of a spoon held just above the drink's surface so the wine floats on top.
