60ml Botanical craft gin
25ml Cucumber, basil and cardamom syrup mix
2 Tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
Soda water to top up
Preparation:
Add all of the ingredients except for the soda water to a cocktail shaker.
Shake vigorously for 30 seconds until well chilled.
Strain into 2 short stemmed tumblers filled with ice.
Top up with soda water.
Add a couple of dried rose petals to the top for garnish.
Recipe Notes
Make your own cucumber, basil and cardamom syrup mix. Using a 1:1 ratio (one cup sugar to one cup water)., add both to a saucepan and cook only long enough to dissolve the sugar – you're not making caramel so don't let it take on any colour. Add some fresh cucumber, basil and cardamom, and allow to infuse. Cool completely before using.
