Super Healthy Pineapple Ginger Smoothie

A fresh breakfast smoothie made with pineapple and fresh ginger root. A refreshing breakfast drink that is light, delicious, and super healthy. Great for cleansing and also to build up immunity.
Pineapple is rich in Vitamin C, antioxidants contain natural sugars and a great source of dietary fiber. But its key cleansing property comes from an enzyme called Bromelain.
The fruity sweetness of pineapple is beautifully balanced with a little spicy kick from ginger of this delightfully healthy smoothie.
Recipe
 Serves: 1
Ingredients:
250ml BWG Pineapple Punch
1 Banana sliced
½ cup Greek Yogurt
1 Tablespoon ginger grated
Water (if necessary)
Preparation:
Combine all the ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.
Add water for your desired consistency.
Recipe Notes
Since ginger is very strong in taste, adding a little amount to smoothies makes it easy to consume ginger. Just about 2½cms or thumb size ginger root per glass is more than enough.
With just ginger and pineapple, this smoothie is vegan, low calorie and nutrition rich. Pineapples contain natural sugars and you therefore need not add any additional sweetener to this smoothie. However, if you want, you can add just about 1 tablespoon of maple or agave syrup.
