Iced Watermelon Margarita
Intro & Description
Based on the popularity and spread of this delicious cocktail, we’d say the creation of the margarita was a major success! This recipe is as easy as it gets, and it a great twist on the classic version. An easy watermelon margarita recipe that can be served frozen or on the rocks!
Naturally sweet from the watermelon, tangy from the lime, and spiked with tequila!
Recipe
 Serves: 2
Ingredients:
250ml BWG Watermelon Punch
45ml Blanco tequila
15ml Triple-sec
15ml Cranberry cordial
Dash of grenadine syrup
1 Small packet of gummy bears
Preparation:
Prepare 2 coupe glasses with a fine sugar rim coating.
Add 2 tablespoons of crushed ice to each glass.
Add all of the ingredients except for the gummy bears to a cocktail shaker with some ice.
Shake for 20 - 30 seconds.
Pour into the glasses and add a half dozen or so gummy bears to the top depending on size.
Recipe Notes
Line a couple of glasses with lime and sea salt, or sugar if you prefer a sweeter taste.
For a more frozen margarita, blend the ice until it becomes “slushie” like.
We used Cointreau for this recipe, but you can use any variety or orange flavored liquor. This is key to getting that classic margarita flavor. You can however omit the triple sec if you don’t have any.
