Beet Twist
Intro & Description
Beetroot has an earthy warm flavour profile that perfectly complements the sweet and bitter notes from the pink gin, grapefruit and Rosemary simple syrup. Try mixing this beet-red cocktail recipe for your next fall festivity.
This is a special beetroot infusion twist on the classic.
Recipe
 Serves: 4
Ingredients:
90ml Citrus flavoured pink gin
250ml BWG Beetroot Punch
75ml Freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
50ml Rosemary infused simple syrup
Soda water - topping up
Preparation:
Combine all of the ingredients, except the soda water into a cocktail shaker.
Shake well and strain into 2 tall tumblers filled with ice.
Top up with soda water and garnish with a rosemary sprig.
Recipe Notes
Use a 1:1 ration of sugar and water to make the rosemary infused syrup. Allow the sugar to dissolve, and then place in your rosemary. Switch off the heat and allow the rosemary to infuse into the simple syrup mixture. Strain and cool completely before use.
If you do not enjoy bitter tasting drinks, leave the grapefruit juice and rather substitute for orange juice instead.
