Warm Spiced Ginger Tea

A warming ginger drink that is so easy to make. Perfect for those freezing Winter days and cool evenings cosying up by the fire. Great if you’re looking for an earthy pick me up.

Recipe
 Serves: 4
Ingredients:
1000ml Ginger Punch
4 Tbl Honey
5 Pods cardamom
1 Star anise
10 Whole cloves
Juice of 1 lemon
Preparation:
Place the Ginger Punch, star anise and cardamom in a pot and bring to the boil.
Once this begins to boil, turn down and simmer for 20 minutes.
Add the cloves and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
Turn off the heat and add the juice of one lemon.
Strain and sweeten with honey.
Serve in mugs and add a slice of lemon to the rim as garnish.
Recipe Notes
Use fresh ginger for a stronger spicy kick.
Substitute the lemon juice for orange and add orange zest along with the cloves for a different citrus flavour.
Adjust the honey to taste. Add more if you prefer a sweeter drink.
