The Cuban Star Beet Mojito

Intro & Description

Due to its high fibre content, beetroot is great for supporting the digestive system. The iron content in beetroot means it’s good for those with anaemia and fatigue. That is why it is such a wonderful and healthy addition to any mocktail!

An unusual but delicious twist to an all time classic!

 

Recipe

 Serves: 6

Ingredients:

  • 250ml BWG Beetroot Punch

  • 4 Tablespoons lime juice

  • 10 Fresh mint leaves

  • 4 Tablespoons honey syrup

  • 4 Cups soda water

Preparation:

  1. Muddle the mint along with the lime juice and honey syrup, and place in 4 Collins glasses. 

  2. Add ice and the Beetroot Punch. 

  3. Top with soda water. 

  4. Garnish with fresh mint. 

 

Recipe Notes

Honey Syrup 

Combine 1 cup of honey and 1 cup of water together in a mason jar.  Shake until well combined. Store in the refrigerator and use when needed. 

If your taste buds are not keen on tart flavours, you may want to adjust the amount of lime recommended in this recipe.

For a slightly more sweet drink, use Sprite as opposed to soda water.
