Ginger Kale Smoothie
Intro & Description
This smoothie is smooth, but not overly creamy, perfectly tart and not too sweet. Loaded with greens, gingery, fruity and most importantly - healthy and delicious.
Super refreshing, detoxifying, and nourishing.
Recipe
 Serves: 2
Ingredients:
250ml BWG Ginger Punch
¼ Cup orange juice
1 Teaspoon lemon juice
2 Cups torn fresh kale
1 Medium apple, peeled and coarsely chopped
4 Ice cubes
⅛ Teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ Teaspoon ground turmeric powder
Dash cayenne pepper
Preparation:
Place all ingredients in a blender.
Process until blended.
Remove pulp if desired by running through a strainer.
Serve immediately.
Recipe Notes
Why not add some chia seeds? They amp up fiber and protein, plus they’re one of the richest plant sources of heart-healthy alpha-linoleic acid (an omega-3 fatty acid).
You could also add a banana to this recipe. The natural sweetness of the banana downplays the earthy notes of the kale. It is also a secret weapon to achieve ice-cream-like creaminess here.
