Intro & Description

A fresh and tangy agua fresca recipe creates the perfect non-alcoholic summer mocktail! Together, fresh cucumber punch, lime juice, mint leaves, and ginger root create a bright and power-packed flavour, with subtle spicy undertones.

A seriously refreshing summer mocktail!

 

Recipe

 Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 500ml BWG Cucumber Punch

  • 1 Cup freshly squeezed lime juice (8-10 limes)

  • ⅔ Cup granulated sugar

  • 10 - 15 Fresh mint leaves

  • 1 Piece fresh ginger (2.5cm)

  • 2 Cups Water

Preparation:

  1. Prepare all the ingredients and place in a blender jar.  

  2. Add 1 cup water. 

  3. Cover and blend until the mixture is very smooth. 

  4. Place a sieve over a pitcher.

  5. Pour the agua fresca through the strainer to remove the pulp.

  6. Add the remaining 2 cups water.

  7. Cover and chill until ready to serve. 

 

Recipe Notes

You can serve these as-is or add a splash of lemon-lime soda (Sprite) for a little effervescence and fizz.

You can also turn agua fresca into a perky alcoholic summer cocktail by simply adding a shot of vodka, tequila, or rum.

Add more ice to this to create a more frozen type drink.
