The basic but delicious cocktail contains Whiskey and ginger punch to create a delicious, refreshing drink. The lemon zest is essential as it is that finishing touch that marries the whiskey and ginger punch perfectly.

Ingredients:

  • 250ml Ginger Punch

  • 120ml Scotch whisky

  • Lemon zest from 1 large lemon

  • Ice cubes

Preparation:

  1. Fill two highball glasses to the top with ice cubes. 

  2. Pour in 60ml of Scotch whisky per glass. 

  3. Top up with Ginger Punch and add lemon zest. 

  4. Stir gently. 

  5. Use some of the lemon zest to garnish the cocktail. 

Recipe Notes

Any brand of whiskey works in the whiskey ginger. Bushmills is a popular option and it's often called a Jameson and ginger when Jameson Irish whiskey is poured.

Pour more or less ginger punch to fit your taste and the size of the glass.

A lemon-lime soda is also a perfect match for the whiskey and ginger punch, for that fizz!
