Pineapple Margarita

A tropical drink that marries the perfect combination of pineapple, lime and tequila! The sweet pineapple goes hand in hand with the sharp bite of tequila, adding a zing from the lime. With the added flavour of Cointreau, you have yourself a party in a glass!

Ingredients:

  • 250ml Pineapple Punch

  • 125ml Tequila

  • 65ml Cointreau

  • 65ml Fresh lime juice, from a fresh lime

  • Kosher salt or flaky sea salt, for the rim

  • Ice, for serving

  • Pineapple wedges

Preparation:

  1. Once you have squeezed your lime juice, use the wedge to line the rim of the glass.

  2. Dip the edge of the glass into a plate of salt.

  3. Set aside.

  4. Add the Pineapple Punch, tequila, Cointreau and fresh lime juice to a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice.

  5. Shake until cold.

  6. Strain the mix into the glasses with the salted rims.

  7. Fill the glass with ice and serve.

  8. Add a pineapple wedge to the edge of the glass for that added pizazz.

Recipe Notes

For a spicy combination, add a jalapeño pepper. The heat and tangy brightness of the jalapeño pepper pairs perfectly with the tropical pineapple flavour.

Add the ice to a blender and add to the mixtures for a frozen variation.
