Jalapeño and Cucumber Margarita
Intro & Description
Nothing tastes better than tequila and jalapeño; the cucumber adds a freshness that helps to mute the jalapeño’s bite. The longer it chills, the more jalapeno and cucumber infuses into the tequila. Serve over ice in a salt-rimmed glass, garnished with cucumber slices.
This refreshing summertime sipper has sweet-citrus flavor and nuanced heat from jalapeño-infused tequila.
Recipe
Ingredients:
500ml BWG Cucumber Punch
120ml Gold tequila
100ml Fresh lime juice
60ml Orange liqueur
4 Tablespoons simple syrup
1 Jalapeño Pepper thinly sliced
Preparation:
Add all of the ingredients to a large glass pitcher.
Stir well and leave in the refrigerator for 1 hour to chill.
Prepare 4 cocktail glasses with a salt rim and add a couple of ice blocks to each one.
Pour the margarita mixture into the glasses and add a slice of jalapeño to the rim.
Recipe Notes
In place of triple sec or Cointreau (orange-flavored liqueur), use a splash of fresh orange juice instead.
For a greater jalapeño bite, cut a few slices of the pepper and allow the jalapeños to soak in the tequila for a short while. The longer they sit in the tequila, the warmer the tequila will become.
