Iced Beetroot Chai Latte

Treat yourself with an iced beetroot chai latte – a perfectly refreshing and fragrant autumn drink! A perfect mixture of earthiness from the beetroot punch, herbal flavor from rooibos tea, spiciness from the spices, sweetness from honey, and creaminess from milk.

Ingredients:

  • 125ml Water

    1. 2 Rooibos tea bags

    2. 1L BWG Beetroot Punch 

    3. 1 Cinnamon stick

    4. 5 Cloves

    5. 5 Peppercorns

    6. 5 Ginger slices

    7. 2-3 Tablespoons honey

    8. 1 Cup milk

Preparation:

  1. Boil the water.  

  2. Remove from the heat and place two rooibos tea bags, cinnamon stick, cloves, peppercorns and ginger slices in the boiling water.  

  3. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes. 

  4. Strain the liquid, add honey and let cool. 

  5. Once the infusion is cooled, add it to the Beetroot Punch and mix well. 

  6. Pour into 4 glasses and add milk and ice cubes. 

Recipe Notes

This drink is actually delicious warm as well as cold. To make it warm, strain the warm liquid, then add it to the beetroot punch and cook just until it starts to simmer. Add honey, pour into cups and add milk.

Use any nut milk in place of normal milk, which works beautifully in this recipe.

Substitute the honey for agave or simple syrup for a vegan alternative.
