Carrot Whiskey Cocktail

Intro & Description

This cocktail has a vivid color from the gorgeous carrot punch, and contains a bit of sophistication. This unusual drink has a savory quality, with the root veggie punch complementing the slightly spicy whiskey.

Ingredients:

  • 60ml Whiskey

  • 250ml BWG Carrot Punch

  • 125ml BWG Lemon Punch

  • 2 Tablespoons Simple Syrup

Preparation:

  1. Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker with some ice. 

  2. Shake for 30 seconds and strain into 2 old fashioned tumblers over some fresh ice. 

  3. Garnish with a lemon wedge over the rim. 

Recipe Notes

Simple syrup is made by mixing a 1:1 ratio of sugar to water. Heat this over the stove until the sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool completely before using. You can also make a honey syrup by adding some hot water to honey. This would be an amazing addition to this recipe as well.

Fill a glass with crushed ice and pour this drink over the crushed ice to give you a more frozen drink.

You could also add a sprig of tarragon, sage or basil to really take this cocktail to the next level.
