Cardinal Froot Punch Mocktail
Intro & Description
Cardinal punch is an easy, fruit-filled punch. Both adults and kids will enjoy this refresher. It is great for outdoor family-friendly events in the spring and summer, but also keep it in mind for baby showers, birthdays, and other celebrations.
This cool, summertime drink is a little sweet, a little tang, and entirely refreshing!
Recipe
Ingredients:
1L BWG Froot Punch
500ml Ginger ale
Garnish:
Maraschino cherries
Lemon and orange slices
Mango chunks
Strawberries
Preparation:
Pour the Froot Punch into a pitcher.
Top with the ginger ale.
Add the ice shapes (directions below).
Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Notes
For a no fizz alternative, substitute the ginger ale for BWG Ginger Punch.
An interesting addition to cardinal punch is to make a syrup of reduced balsamic vinegar and fresh basil leaves. Add a dollop of this syrup to each drink.
Ice Shapes
It's fun to make special blocks of ice to float in your pitcher. You can use a jelly mold to make a shaped block of ice. Find fun shaped molds and first fill the form about one-third with water and freeze Add the maraschino cherries, lemon and orange slices, mango chunks and strawberries. Return it to the freezer for a few minutes to freeze the fruit in place (otherwise, the fruit may float). Then top off with water and freeze it completely.
