Amaretto Sour

This drink turns out frothy, sweet, sour, nutty and strong. Combining amaretto with bourbon, fresh lemon punch, rich simple syrup and egg white creates a perfectly balanced Amaretto Sour.

Ingredients:

  • 75ml Amaretto Liqueur

  • 25ml Bourbon

  • 250ml BWG Lemon Punch 

  • 1 Tablespoon Simple Syrup

  • 1 Egg white / *2 tablespoons aquafaba for vegan alternative

  • Bitters - a dash or two

Preparation:

  1. Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker without ice. 

  2. Shake for 20 seconds. 

  3. Add some ice to the shaker. 

  4. Shake for 30 seconds and strain into an old-fashioned glass. 

  5. Add a cocktail stick cherry to add the finishing touch.

Recipe Notes

If you want to take this classic beverage up a notch, turn it into a boozy Amaretto slushy - perfect for spring and summer. Just add some crushed ice.
